About Me

I live in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, with my husband, my 15 year old daughter, 6 year old son, and eight exotic pets (all of whom graciously modeled for this website).

I have two birds, a White-Bellied Caique named Bobo, and a Pacific Parrotlet named Huey.  We also have three rescued rabbits, twins Princess and Luigi and our rex, Chase.  Our other pets are a male chinchilla named Bigsnack, and a male crested guinea pig named Jimi.

I decided to start this business so that other small pets may enjoy the comforts of home while their owners are out of town.   I know all too well how hard it is to find someone to properly care for them; no matter how long you are away, your exotic pets will need someone to tend to their daily needs beyond the basics of food, water and a clean cage.  They require human companionship as well.  Leaving your little friends in the care of someone who does not understand their needs can result in loneliness and even depression in your absence.  This is especially true of birds, known to resort to self-mutilation and feather-picking as a way of dealing with stressful situations.

My primary goal is to give your pet the best possible care, and eliminate his or her stress in your absence to the best of my abilities.   It is my hope that you will be able leave town confidently knowing that your pets are valued here, and receiving the highest level of care and attention in your absence.

Although many veterinary offices offer adequate professional boarding services, the staff cannot possibly spend as much one-on-one time with your pet as you would like them to.  This can be more readily achieved in a family home setting.  Under my care, your furry or feathered family member will receive individualized, compassionate attention while you are away.

I am a member of The Parrotlet Alliance, The North American Parrot Society, the House Rabbit Society, as well as a supporter of The Rabbit Habit, a non-profit rescue organization founded by Kerry Stewart, based locally in Glenside.
